Protam’s experienced engineering team works closely with its in-house world-class composite team and specialist companies for the precision work required for the design and construction of major alterations or renovations such as: The composite lamination department works closely with the deck and woodwork department, predominantly for GRP (glass reinforced plastic) boatbuilding and the repair of luxury yachts.
Carbon fibre and composite materials have been used by the marine industry for many years due to their reduced weight and uncompromising strength, acting as a tough and durable barrier against the extremes commonly encountered in marine environments.
